Deviation Actions
deviantART has a "Random Deviant" link at the bottom of its homepage:

For those of you who have an account because you want to meet other people, I strongly recommend making full use of the "Random Deviant" link.
"Full use, you say?" you say. -canned laughter-
It might sound ludicrous. The only way you can use the link is by...simply clicking on it.
But when I say "full use of", I mean that you should frequently use the link to see a handful of random deviants.
Every time you go to a deviant's page, view their gallery. If you like what you see, deviant-watch that person. ^^
Even if you don't want to watch them (but still like their art somewhat!
)Check out the comments on their page. Take note of whether or not the deviant replies to those comments such as "Thanks for faving!" and the like.
If they do, there's a good chance that they're active, socially anyway. Good for them!

Deviants who are active will likely reply to your comments, so comment on their work, journals, or anything else you'd like to share your opinion about.
The more comments the person gets on average, the more valuable those comments are to him/her.
In fact, they might even spend time to check out your page if you comment on theirs.
The continued usage of the link can be made more convenient by putting the link on your bookmark tab, like this:

That way, you can easily switch to a different deviant (a virtually effortless click of the mouse) if the current one does not pique your interest.

don't forget, you can also add the 'random deviant' link to your toolbar within deviantart, in the area next to the search bar -- that's what i did
